Brighten Up your Diet Plan

People with diabetes need to strictly control their diet plan. However, as time goes by, they may feel bored and lose their appetite.

Choose colorful food such as tomatoes (cherry tomatoes), red cabbages, red onions, carrots, avocados, nuts which includes the color of red, orange, yellow, green, purple, brown. Colors may increase the appetite.

When making salads, it is best to avoid using sauces. Some sauces may have problems like too many food additives, or high in sodium.

Salads are rich in nutrients such as vitamin C and fiber; nuts have unsaturated fatty acids, which can help reduce LDL cholesterol levels.

You may also need to pay attention to the portion size. Consult a nutritionist if you have any questions.
